Default Case confusion

I have read countless reviews on multiple cases now and have narrowed my selection to these three cases.

Contour Showcase
Seidio Rubberized slim case with holster
Seidio Innocase with holster

I chose these cases mainly due to their protection and holster compatability.

I really liked the Contour until I read a post on another site that the case cracked the writers screen. I'm sure this is not common, but still, I'll pass on the chance. Any one know anything else about this?

The Seidio is what I will probably go with. Which one is my current dilemma. The Slim looks like it would give a bit more front protection but if dropped will the two piece design pop open? The Innocase would not pop open but I have read there are problems with the clip for the bottom piece either scratching or not working properly anymore.

Has anyone used all three of these cases or know someone who has had them? Any further insight would be greatly appreciated. Also any info on the quality and durability and tension of the holsters/clips on the above would be great too.

Thanks, Dan

Wow, no responses. I know these cases have been talked about to death, but I figured the broken screen issue with the Contour SC would have at least sparked some activity here.

I found most of my answers elsewhere, but I still have not found any solid info about the Seidio holsters.

Also, why is there no Seidio Innocase/Holster combo in the EIC store? I was going to buy from here, but I think I'll save the 8 bucks and get it direct from Seidio.

Speaking of saving money, does anyone happen to have a Seidio discount code or a gift certificate pin before I checkout?

Thanks.

Sorry, I am of no help to you. Just wanted to mention that I hope you're purchasing your case here!

I would, but as I said above, there are no Inno Case/holster combo deals. They are only listed here as seperate items. Which adds $8 to the total over the combo deal at the Seidio site. Oh yeah, and they have them in stock. Here the case is not available until 4/4 and the holster 4/14.

I have the seido innocase and if you are using a screen protector, the odd slants on the bottom part of the case WILL peel/bubble the screen protector.

I would say go with the seido slim case. Even if you drop it and it will pop out, the impact of the drop is already absorbed by the case.

The innocase and slim case have the same material. It is loveeely!!!

Hope this helps.

It does help as I do have a screen protector, thanks for the input. I did read on this board about an easy fix for making the slim case more secure also.

Now if only the EIC store would offer a case holster combo, that would be

I experienced this same behavior with my innocase. The bottom edges started to bubble the corners of my invisible shield screen protector.

Here is a strong vote for the Showcase. I've had this case since I bought my iPhone about a month ago. Its never given me any problems and seems like its had superior protection to the other two you've listed as I've seen and played with them on other iPhones.

Go with the Showcase. Shock resistant rubber, clear backplate, secure hinged snap and great belt holster. Its a win-win.

Hope this helps,

I have the super slim case, and yes it will pop open rather easily when dropped. But I love how it looks, and it's very protective otherwise, so here's what I did:

I cut thin strips of duct tape and lined the side edges of the back part with them, overhanging about 1/4" to make contact with the top part. Carefully lay the phone in the back, and carefully pop the top on and squeeze to secure... taped from the inside, it will never pop open when dropped.

A minor annoyance, but definitely worth it for the looks. I think it's the best-looking case out there. Innocase is nice, but I like the added front coverage and even slimmer profile of the SSR.
