Default Bodyguardz vs. Invisishield vs. Phantom vs. SPG etc...

I have read several posts including this one (http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum...hone-5901.html) which I thought was extremely helpful but I was hoping to get a "newer" thread going between what I think are the most popularly used screen protectors. From the above mentioned thread it appears that bodyguardz was the clear favorite but I am wondering if anything has changed since the original post was back in 2007. Can anyone give thier thoughts or opinions about recent installs of any of these films on the new 3G iPhone?

Thanks. I am getting ready to buy one and need some recent experiences. Thanks again!

The thing I would be most interested in is which ones cover the chrome and how do finger prints show up. I have the zagg on my V1 and fingerprints are almost non-existent. I have a hard case but when I get my 3G I want to go the clear films since it leaves it looking like it originally does.

I'm definitely checking around also. I have exclusivley used Zagg on 4 other devices including my v1 phone (with stellar results). I just got my 3G yesterday and put the Zagg shield on. I like it but wanted to find another one that had a "cleaner" scheme around the corners. Don't get me wrong it has better coverage around the corners than the v1 shield but by design it could lead to awkward bends. It looks like the bodyguardz is the same scheme as zagg so I'm looking for something different.

someone in another thread also mentioned the Power Support Crystal Film and said it worked very well, had the same protection as Zagg and Bodyguardz but was much clearer on the screen. Anyone else use this type of screen protector? Comments?

Call me weird but I like the look and feel of zagg. I think I am alone in that though. Does the 3G protection cover the chrome?

Here's my 2cents. I put the Zagg on my 3G as soon as I got it. I have Zagg for my other devices including a v1 iPhone. For this application I DIDN'T like the corners. I picked up BestSkinsEver and just applied the back. The way it fits the corners is waaay better in my opinion and it covers more of the chrome (which makes it slightly more difficult to apply but not biggie). I didn't have to fight with the corners on the BSE like I did with Zagg and it is a much cleaner look. NOTE... BSE is $9.99 SHIPPED!!! but it does NOT come with solution or squegee. Also I liked the way it came also. I didn't have to punch all the little extra pieces out before applying. I still like Zagg but BSE is half the price and same material (from what i've heard)... I just need to save the squegee I get from Zagg. Also, for solution I just used Windex.

I'm going to put my 2 cents in now between zagg and best skins ever for those thinking of getting one here in the future. I have zagg on my iphones screen and ipod. I have a best skins ever on my macbook and on one of the new ipod nanos. Between the two of them I have to say I now have a very strong preference to the best skins ever over zagg and heres why. First of all zagg is way over priced. The best skins ever for my macbook was half the price. Zagg includes a whole bunch of excess junk in their packaging. BSE sends you only what you need. Shipping has also been a big factor. My most recent install is on the ipod nano and that came in 2 days, the told me 7-10. My zagg for the ipod took about 2 weeks. One thing I've heard complaints about is that the BSE does not include the solution needed to install the shield, you have to make it yourself out of soap and water. I have found that the soap and water combination works much better then the solution zagg provides. All I had to do was dip it in the solution, shake off the excess, and the shield slid around much easier; my old student ID card worked wonderfully to squeeze the air bubbles out.

Overall I have been much more impressed with the BSE over the zagg products and I would recomend BSE over zagg to anyone.

I've used the BG and IS and preferred the BG. It's easier to install and the corners go down much easier. And of course, the BG doesn't have that god awful rubbery feel or orange peel effect. Zagg's customer service is horrendous. You can order replacement shields off the BG website, so you don't have to mess about dealing with the incompetent staff of Zagg.

Just my 2 cents worth.
