Orb Live on App Store Vigil... - iPhone 3G

I know there are a lot of people waiting anxiously for Apple to release Orb Network's App on the App Store. This thread can be used as a way to notify everyone once it is released. Like many of you, I monitor the App Store frequently for new releases and am particularly interested in Orb's App that is currently awaiting release.

By subscribing to this thread, we can combine our efforts to spot it as soon as it's available. There have been apps in the past (netshare) that have been released and then removed due to carrier complaints. If Orb should happen to be one of these, at least we stand a better chance of grabbing it prior to it being pulled.

Personally, this is my most wanted app. I'd hate to know I missed it because I was unable to monitor the App Store 24/7.

I know there are RSS feeds (which I watch daily) that list newly released apps, but every little bit helps.

Any updates regarding Orb's progress are certainly welcome.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that Orb makes it through Apple's gauntlet.

Appstore? I'm sorry, I just don't see it.

I'm just waiting for it to finally be available again for a 2.1 jailbreak.

Don't see it as in you don't believe it will be allowed by Apple? With all due respect, I hope you're wrong. It's always a shame when a device can't be used to its full potential because some company is blinded by a dollar sign.

I remain optimistic, although I too have my doubts.

unfortunately, I think psy is right.... even though it's a shame apple has to be that way, I think the chances of it going through are very slim..

If an app like Simplify can be approved, I don't see why Orb won't be.

Maybe Apple dropping their NDA on released apps today will help at least get information to us faster.

if an App does not get approved by the App Store, can that same app be placed onto cydia?

Well, the PDAnet devs decided to post their app on cydia after apple rejected it so it's a possibility. Just depends on the devs though if they want to take that route (the netshare guys still haven't released theirs on cydia).

If you read the ORB Forums ORB Live has already been submitted to Aplle for approval.

well actually, now that I think about it, it might be possible. I mean, what all does this app do? let you stream media from your computer? if a vnc app can go through, why not this?
