My Location Point App

Hi everyone, i work for an engineering company and I'm wondering if the iPhone can help me with a problem we've encountered. We are working on an existing commercial building with a water damaged roof. What I'm looking for is an iphone app that will allow me to walk on the roof, locate the water damage location. Hit a button and log that location through the iphone GPS. Then i will walk downstairs to the inside of the building and locate that "Exact" or within a foot or two of the location. Then look up and see the water damage in the roof.

I tried looking at some of the park my car apps, and the reviews have been tough to get a feel for the app. Does anyone know of a app that could do this, and accuracy is pretty good?

GPS doesn't work inside a building very well if at all.

As far as I know, GPS isn't that accurate. You can get maybe 9 feet of accuracy at best.

I won't use the iPhone in a pro situation like yours. You can't get the iPhone to show you the exactly location!

Iphone is not a good thing for you to use in your project. As you can not get the exact reading by iphone GPS it would not very useful for you in this purpose.
