Default Multi Purpose and Full Service Google app...

Is exactly what I need. Can someone get Google to custom build an app that does reader, calendar, etc. in an iGoogle type display. That's it, an iGoogle app. The only way I can access all the stuff I use Google for is by going to my iGoogle on Safari.

Does anyone think this is a possibility? Am I alone on this?

As far as I know, it is just a shortcut for searching google without using Safari. Unless I missed something. I used it for awhile, but it's just as easy to open Safari and search there. I don't think it does any more than that though.

Well, the app is self-contained for the most part. But I think you hit the nail on the head there: Google's iPhone web interface is so tight that a dedicated app really is almost superfluous.
