Itunes Gift Card usage

Got a gift card for fathers day...I can see where I can use it from my mac on itunes but is there a way to use it when downloading directly to my Iphone?

There was for like 2 days, but it got removed lol. My guess is they are still thinking about how to add it without having too much happening in the appstore.

click on itunes on your iphone you can redeem it that way too..
