iPhone App Store Review Section at EIC

We've just launched a new iPhone App Store Review section here at EIC. It's new, so there are only a few apps listed. However, the section is set up so that anyone can add a specific app to the section. In the past, I've had review sections set up this way and people would submit reviews where they should be submitting new content. Here's a quick overview of how the section works. If you'd like to contribute, that would be great!

Adding new content (adding an app to the section).
1. Visit the corresponding category where the App lives on the iTunes Store. For example, let's say you'd like to add the NY Times app. It resides in iPhone Applications > News.
2. Click on the link titled Add New Entry
3. You should fill out the information accordingly. See this photo example.


All content items are moderated. Upon approval, it will be added to the site. If you are adding an App because you'd like to review that app, please come back 12-24 hours later and it will be ready for reviews (see next post on how to post your review).

If the app already exists in the directory, just following the following steps to add your review and/or rating.

1. Click on Add New Review



2. Rate the App on a scale of 1-5 (5 being the highest). You can then type your review. Hit submit.

All reviews are moderated. Once approved, it will appear on the site.

Excellent. Hopefully this will be used frequently so that people can get a good idea of what to buy and not to, etc.

I just tried to write a review and after the random letter security code nothing was happening?

Which app were you reviewing? I'll take a look and make sure it's functioning.

Also, what browser and OS so I can possibly duplicate the problem.

No problem for being the guinea pig. i am trying to contribute to here a little more to learn more, help more...

I am using Mozilla and leopard.

Let me setup that app in the review section and then I'll ask you to submit it. I just checked and was able to submit a review and a content item.

Give me 5 minutes or so to add Facebook.

Okay, please try submitting your review for Facebook. I tested another app review using Leopard and Firefox -- without a hitch.

The captcha etters are case sensitive.
