Default How to make free phone calls with Fring

Alright, so I downloaded Fring. Now can I make free phone calls with VOIP and how do I get it set up?

You need to setup a new account with Skype. And it's only free if the other person you're calling is also on Skype.

You should read the Skype website. And remember, you can only use Skype on a Wi-Fi connection.

Click on "Map" and you'll see the GPS location of each photo along with a tag of the current weather conditions.
The more I go "street hiking," more photos will be added so keep checking!

Nope. It's one of the SIP services that you can use with Fring. Check out their website here: http://www.voipbuster.com

And if you don't want to download and install their software, just pick the "Mac/Linux" option and just create an account. Add it to Fring, and you're good to go!

Voipbuster has quite a delay when talking, it's pretty difficult to talk to someone since the whole time you are talking over each other. Is this just a problem with voip or will another voip client work better?

The delay is due to several things, but the major one, if I remember correctly is accurately configuring duplexing for the voice traffic. Duplexing enables 2 way voice at the same time.
Also, if the servers are having any type of problems with directing traffic, this will also slow the service down.

Well we can talk at the same time, it's just that whenever one of us says something, the other one doesn't get it for about a second. It's amazing how much this ruins the call. How do I configure duplexing? And will another VOIP client work better do you think?

unfortunately, you don't configure duplexing. That is something for the service to do.
