Have these been reviewed?
Hello.
I am new to this forum, so maybe these have been reviewed already, so apologies in that event.
Otherwise:
FAA Wait is a ninety-nine cent application from Tactical Logic.
Most of us have stood in an airport, or sat in the car on the way to the airport, and wondered if we are going to be one of those many intercontinental U.S. passengers whose flight will be delayed. CNN Money reported this July that airports are making big money on the misery of the increasing number of delayed fliers, expanding services available to passengers and inflating prices of available goods (how many of us have paid four dollars for a bottle of water?). American airports took in $6.5 billion dollars in 2007 alone and the waiting only adds to this.
FAA Wait won’t make any significant changes to any of the complex variables contributing to this problem, but it does allow you to get a heads up that most passengers won’t.
This program provides a real-time access to current air traffic delays at all U.S. airports using the FAA’s own data feed (without their official endorsement). It doesn’t give information on specific flights, but it allows a user to anticipate delays often before the airlines themselves update their schedules. Ground delays, departure and arrival delays, and weather stoppages are given and there is a map view that shows airports colour coded according to length of delays. It’s handy, easy to read and get your information immediately, and it’s great for seeing trends across the continent.
And a quick addition is in2itiveMinds’ G-Park.
G-Park allows confused and possibly drug-addled travelers to preemptively deal with the embarrassing problem of forgetting where you parked your car. Note: If you are drug-addled, don't drive once you find your car.
It sounds ridiculous, but when you’re busy and distracted, and if you’ve been travelling a great deal, it isn’t hard to imagine losing track of where you parked as you rush to make a flight. And considering the labyrinthine parking conditions at some enormous airports (Frankfurt in Germany, for example), or the huge, poorly signposted lots on the periphery of others (Detroit, you know I’m talking about you), it is clear that almost anybody could get mixed up at some point.
G-Park provides you with the turn-by-turn instructions that will bring you back to that saved location, and your car, without any hassle.
