Gazette (Google Reader for iPhone) 1.0.4 released!

I just released Gazette 1.0.4. This is the final update to Gazette 1.0 before 2.0 comes out.

I've tried this and it's not working so well for me - it takes forever to sync and still doesn't download all of my feeds, no matter how long I let it work on downloading them. Any tips?

Hi!

Gazette only downloads feeds with unread articles. Any feeds that weren't downloaded initially will be downloaded as soon as there are new unread articles available.

Thanks for the response. I've found the root cause of my problem now - it's the amount of time it takes for Gazette to sync with Google Reader and I just wasn't giving it enough time.

I just tried it now, with Google Reader through Firefox on my computer showing over 1,000 new items, it took over 15 minutes for Gazette to sync to show this number, and it crashed twice during the process. I had to repeatedly wake up my iPhone or touch the screen so that it would keep syncing. I do have the latest version (1.0.4). Why is this?

I usually use Netnewswire on my iPhone to check my feeds, but wanted something that synced with Google Reader since I'm slowing switching to it instead. So far, this app earns -1 stars from me given how long it takes to sync. Please tell me you're going to fix this soon.

I'll try to fix all performance problems in Gazette 2.0.
