Best app for local searching - location based

    Hello there.

What is the best app for searching (restaurants, gas, hotels etc...) that is location based?

The ones I have tried (still have) seem to be either not as local as I would like or the location services don't seem to be exactly correct.

    Currently, i've got:

    Timmyme
    Restaurantica
    My Nearest

Is there one that does it all - well?

    Thanks!

Give Yelp a shot. It's a pretty good app. http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/M...284910350&mt=8

Thanks. I'll give it a shot!

Any other ones come to mind? I'm in Ontario (Rogers) just outside KW.

    Thanks

I've always used Around Me. Google just added a "Local" tab on their mobile page that searches for local results. You can pick categories and all kinds of stuff. It's web based; no app required.

It's what I've used for the last year or so. Very simple to use and it's never failed me.

LOL! Go figure... "The item you've requested is not available in the Canadian I-Tunes Store".

Oh well... There's a bunch of those...

I was not aware of that. Google always produce quality products. As no other extra app is not required for this that would be simple I hope. I will make it a try.

I use Around Me, i Want Pro and just recently MotionX GPS Drive. MotionX is a fantastic app but the search for stuff around you is limited compared to others.

AroundMe and iWant both work pretty good. Its amazing how you can use both apps and they will show you different things by you. I dont know if any of these style of apps are fully functional without flaws.
