App store updates not working

When I try to check for updates, I get a message that says "Cannot retrieve download information. Please connect with iTunes."

I was able to update a couple of programs this morning. Anyone else having trouble, or is it just me?

Same here - I've got an update to download for the NY Times app and I can't do it on my iPhone nor on my computer. Something must be wrong with the store on Apple's end.

I was able to update my NY Times app but I noticed this more before 2.1.

That's the same one I was trying to update. Now it tells me that all my apps are up to date, but the NY Times app still isn't updated.

It's not just us - there's a thread over at Macrumors where folks are reporting similar issues...
