I don't think it did but can't remember for sure. The really dumb part of the design was that the case rotated freely, nothing kept it from turning at all as some of the rotating clips have notches so you can turn them but doesn't allow it to just rotate. It was from a very popular company and the case was around $60 plus shipping so it wasn't exactly cheap. It looked great but almost ruined my PDA.

Especially if you’re dropping it or carrying it in your pocket with your keys. But, unless you’re housing ultra-secret documents on your iphone and plan on smuggling it through a third-world airport checkpoint inside your anus, I’d forgo a stupid case."
Wow. They quoted one of my posts on that website, lol. I was reading it going, wow, that looks familiar. I really wish they hadn't, though.

Don't know why LOL

The number of viable third-party options is entirely up to sales volume. There are already some adventurous outfits with "pre-release" iPhone cases... but a lot of them are just reworked versions of the same sad ol' stuff.

I'm a lot less worried about protecting the phone from nuclear holocaust than from the little scratches and nicks of daily use. And, I agree with Rob that the elegance of iPods and the iPhone is squandered in a bulky, hard-to-access case. Better to have something easy to slip in and out of a pocket or purse, enhancing the "wow" factor.

It's like putting a nose-bra on a classic Ferrari to "protect" the paint.

Love the analogy but, ick, those things give me the willies for some reason.

The result is a bulker, heavier and inherently less attractive iPod, just because the ipod is so beautiful on it's own.

I'm trying not to be a saleman here in a forum, against forum rules. But as a designer that's what I was thinking about. In designing a case for the iphone for myself, personally, (which is all I've done) I wanted a case that I can keep my phone in but take it out of the case to enjoy Apple's handiwork. I just want a simple protective case that I can take my phone OUT of. Sure, I might drop it. But I want to touch my iphone!!

Again, viva la difference. Everyone should buy the case that they like the best. It's a huge market with a lot of hot cases that are sure to come out. I'm totally anxious to see more of what other designers come out with!!

Bravo, Bravo- most of the cases cover, bulk up and protect. The same thing my drawer will do if I put the iphone in it and never take it out to use. Bravo again- good reply!

Default padding or waterproofing

I think they'll need to make a safe case for this precious
new treasure, Some bright colors with patterns would be cool.

Default My version of perfect case for iPhone

As there is no rigid clip belt carrying case for iPhone that could be accptabely convenient at the same time, I've developed my own concept of "perfect iPhone case" (imho) and presented it at www.centrik.biz . Hope to see it on the market one day.
