Default Watching videos on the ceiling with pocket projector - Badass!!

Last night I watched a couple of shows on my ceiling with my new pocket projector... finally no more straining my neck to see my TV!

Played the shows off my Ipod hooked up to the projector. In the dark the image is very nice. In daylight, the image is not so good at 40-50" sizes, but hey what do you expect for something that is the size of an Ipod right?

I think the only downside is the speaker is kind of soft and the fan is kind of loud so I had to turn it all the way up to be able to hear everything. That and I had to put the projector in a cup because the video out is kind of gay and in the back of the projector.

I considered buying the Optoma unit, but I got this unit at a homie-hookup price of $225. It has higher resolution, on board memory, and takes SD card. The Optoma unit has nothing and is like $400 which is pretty ass-rape for a pocket projector with nothing on it. Anyways, check out my pics...

No the Iphone speakers don't work - but actually the projector speaker is louder. Yeah I was going to go for the Optoma unit first, but $399 was just too crazy, the $200's was definitely a deal hehe

Very cool pics! I can't think of many uses outside your own house for this.
Maybe camping with projecting onto the side of a car/van?

I dunno, its a cool concept nonetheless. Wish they would build that into the iPod!

How well do you think that the Tiger/hasbro Zoombox projector is vs the pocket projector that you have? I found one at the pawn shop for 50$. I have read some reviews but can't find many but the ones i have read said for the price which they are paying 300$ it's worth it. I know you get what you pay for but for 50$ what the hell.

I dunno bro - $50 is definitely a good price but it's also Hasbro. That thing looks pretty big and for specs it only lists "557x234 resolution" with no other specs...

Honestly I think the Aaxatech is worth every penny... 640x480 resolution on a battery

Perhaps you can call this thing the "backpack projector". Put some straps on it and you can carry it around... Hell, hook up a car battery and make it completely cordless!
Then you could put both on a set of wheels and have mobile entertainment!
