Why does the inclusion of the mic make them "on the go"? The mic just allows you to answer the phone no matter whatever environment you may be in.
@Zwole. I have been looking at some of the mini amps. Nothing too fancy. This would be a nice addition to my speaker setup in my office to get a cleaner sound. Any experience or recommendations? I have looked at the Coda 3Move and the Fiio.

check out Head-Fi.com and go to the portable amp area. That is one great site for researching headphones ive been on it for a few months and its overwelming the amount of info on there. Ive never used amps much. My 3's are pretty sensitive so with an amp it would probably just cause a bit of hiss for me. Create a thread over there after you register most of the members are very helpful.

Cool. I am familiar with that site as I came across it in the past couple of days. The amp would really be for pc use and for a pair of Bose I keep at work to plug in. Docks are ok but the sound isn't all that great. Bose are a little heavy on bass. I thought a little amp would flesh them out a bit. Thanks for the info. I will inquire there if it is even worth the effort.

No problem, the bose might benifit a bit from them. I used to have the over ear bose and my dad has the tri ports. If they are full size cans they might benifit a bit from them. I think even the triples bass comes out a bit more from a small amp. They arent as sensitive i dont think as the westones so you might check into that as well. if you get a small amp then you can even rubber band it to the back of your ipod or iphone so that its just a little bit larger.

What are your thoughts on these puppies now that you've had them for a few days?

I love them. They handle the bass heavy tracks better than my Shure e4c. Good balance. I think they really shine on the treble ranges. I love hearing the nuances and sounds that I don't usually notice on my stereo. Everything I have listened to so far sounds fabulous. The mic works really well. Nice to be able to voice command without touching the phone to make calls or change playlists. I want to see if they "open up" after about 50 to 60 hours of play. They are heavy but once you learn how to put them in correctly they are comfortable. I use alcohol to clean my ears and the earbud tips which give me a good seal and they don't slide out.
Listening to music through headphones gives me a new appreciation for what is going on in the music. I really get into the instrumentation. Think I am going to explore some other format than high bitrate mp3. Check out the differences.

i encode my files in 320kbps AAC. Just my preference really. But they sound pretty close to the original WAV file. I should have my UE 4 pro's on Friday!! Can't wait
