Default Nike Plus?

I saw some threads, but none had the info I need. I have the sensor and the shoes, and of course the iPhone 3GS for it...however, the darn thing rarely talks to me! How do I make it talk to me more? How often is it supposed to talk to me? I dont want to have to keep reaching over in the middle of a run and tapping the screen, so I tried to leave it unlocked so it would just talk...and it doesn't! Anyone know how this thing really works?

And it SUCKS with music! It wont play my running podcasts! I dont like to listen to regular music...while I run...so I download techno podcoasts...and it wont play those!!!

I am on my way to buy one of these. My friend has it and gets great results with her ipod touch. I am hoping it will work just as well with my 3GS. Did you have to calibrate yours? I have been reading running forums online and researching how well/accurate Nike+ works. Most people are pretty happy with it and works better with the actual Nike+ shoes. There are people that use it in the Nike shoe pouch and does not work as well. I will let you know how it works for me. I plan on using it tonight.

A sensor that works with Nike shoes and Nike+ program or app that measures distance, calories, etc. when you work out/run giving you the information through your ipod nano/ 2nd gen. ipod touch/ iphone 3gs. You can sync to computer and keep data on your work out online through Nike.
