It's going to sound pretty stupid, but I don't know how it works. Here goes:
Do you need to have the iPod/ iPhone with you the whole run or can you store the info on the sensor and then upload it when you return home?
In other words, do you have to take the iPod with you on your run or does the sensor store data for later uploading?

Before you decide to purchase the Nike+ read the reviews on the Apple Store. They are not very favorable. Apparently the battery life is really bad and a number of people have to keep buying new sensors.
