I just got this from ilounge and I think it is what alot of people are waiting for, it is the latest from ProClip

Apple: iPhone 3GThis Adjustable Holder with Pass-Through Connector is designed for the Apple iPhone and Touch with silicone type cases e.g. iSkin, Jam Jacket, Speck, XtremeMac, Showcase etc. The Holder will adjust from a width of 2.3" (60mm) to 3.2" (82mm) and allows you to connect any iPhone cable to the base of the Holder and pass the connection up into your phone. You are then able to leave the cable connected to the Holder and you can now easily dock/undock your device without having to manually connect/disconnect your cable.

Yes it will. However there is nothing to hold the unit into the mount when it is turned sideways. The Iphone slides into the mount from the top.

DavidT... do you think a 3G iPhone would fit even if it had a BestSkinsEver on it? Sometimes brackets have zero room to play with.
