Geez. Mercedes should offer the cars a free upgrade. I got a 2009 Acura TSX and the USB port in the car can play from the iPhone iPod AND charge at the same time. I can also play audio from apps like Pandora and Stitcher.

The more I go "street hiking," more photos will be added so keep checking!

Default cord switching!

Tony, thanks but there is no freaking way im letting mercedes get away with this! Reaching in and out of the glove box to charge and reconnect sucks for long trips. If they just switched the pins!!! Thanks for the recommendation though, anyone find the product I'm loking for (basically a replacement cord ) let me know, thanks!

Hausenpepper - you can buy a basic charger that slots into the cigarette lighter. I still haven't resolved the problem with integrating the phone with the original MB Bluetooth however I'm awaiting delivery of a 3rd party module purchased from itjustworks.com so, fingers crossed I'll only have to put up with trailing wires when charging.

Default Which to buy 3g iPhone or original version

I own an 05 e500 with the blue tooth module that works well with the command system and my Treo 650. I was waiting for the bugs to get worked out of the 3G iPhone and then purchase it since the original iPhone worked well with the system I have. Based on everything I have read the 3g iPhone doesn't work well with the MBZ blue tooth adepter. Is that in fact the case and if so is eBay the best route to buy the original iPhone? Thanks in advance for any feed back.

No, my iPhone 3G works flawlessly with my S550 and ML63. So, no, thats not the case, for me at least.
