Default Kenwood KCA-iP500 - Confirmed Working

I just bought a Kenwood KCA-iP500 and installed it. It works 100% with the iPhone.

When you say "100%", does that mean the music pauses for incoming calls?

A contact at Kenwood told me the iPhone only works in airplane mode with the KCA-iP500.

But an article I read said it works normally, as it presumably will when Kenwood modifies its firmware for use with the KCA-iP200.

Check the date. This post was made over a year before the iPhone 3G existed.

The KCA-iP500 will work with your iPhone 3G to send music to your Kenwood head unit but it will not power it.

It is 100% compatible with the original iPhone.

Sorry and Thanks. Can it be modified to work?
