iPhone not supporting hands free phone use while driving is still there regardless; whether I'm wearing a bluetooth headset or the earbuds.

well.. that pretty much sums the entire thread up. Why buy a BT headset when your headphones do exactly the same job.

You have to physically press a button on both to answer/end calls. Job done

Bluetooth doesnt constrict you to put your phone in your pocket or closeby when in the car.

Anyways i just mount my iphone to my vents and press speakerphone when a call comes in.

I have the Plantronic 855. I used it all day at work to listen to podcasts and Audiobooks . It good enough for that. The Iphone with bluetooth turned on killing the battery life, so I have it docked to charged all day. I can walk away from the phone up to 20 feet. The bluetooth full charge and maximum used will last 8 hrs. When I needs to goes further , I 'd pocketed the iphone and enjoy the walk with full audio sound in my ears.

Depends what you need it for, my car is the only reason I need one, and the last car I got had it built in. They are great for travel though!!

I have a million BT headsets lying around and I never use them. I would like to use BT while driving but it came built in the car...but I haven't been able to pair it with my iPhone =( BT headsets are useful where I live b/c it's illegal to drive on the Air Force base while one the phone unless you're using a handsfree device

I just recently started using my (crappy) BT headset again in the car because Philly passed new hands-free legislation. I actually like it now that I don't have to disconnect my phone from its harness/charger when I get a call.

I paid $8 for it 3 years ago and still feel it was a bit overpriced for the quality, but it works.

I used my Apple $100 store credit to buy the apple BT headset.not the greatest by far, but it works in the car just fine. Plus I like that it's very small. I made a keychain holder for it, so I always have it on me.

One thing to remember also especially if you travel . In some states if you talk on your phone using a Bt or corded headset is law

Philly huh? I went up there every week for about 2.5 years and had to use one everytime I crossed over to Jersey... or at least everyone told me I had too... I hate that Philly airport!!
