One thing I like about this unit is the build quality.

Is it worth it to buy an external battery? I can get like 10 hours battery life. I don't mind charging it using USB cable.

As I said in the review, it will charge your iPhone almost four times.

I appreciated the times showing the precentages you listed on your review. That was very helpful. I've had to return 2 external batteries so far I bought through Amazon. I just wasn't pleased with them or the charge time.

I would avoid making any of your own external batteries. The last thing you want to do is mess up you iphone. This is my favorite it is the only one that I found that didn't mess with the iphone's signal

What worried me most is the iPhone's signal. At least 25% of reviewers noted a noticeable drop off in signal strength. This would make sense since the battery packs supply electricity and could affect the iPhone's internal antenna.

I gave up on that idea very quickly, once I realized that there were external batteries already available. I'm new at this.

Does anyone know the capacity of the 3Gs's battery? Would it be possible to replace it at some point in the future?

1240mAh, I believe.
