Best screen protector

Uh, so do the finger thing on laptops, and they sell covers for those. I asked the man at the apple store and he said they were the same. The iphone reacts to human skin because it is conductive, but that doesnt mean you cant cover the screen.

I use boxwave products for my palm and nuvi devices. I like their stuff and notice that they have one for the iphone... i will maybe pick one up after i see how the device functions without one. This thing is too sexy for a case...

Cubic zirconia...basically a highly highly highly scratch-resistent surface. I'm not really qualified to explain more though, hopefully someone can jump in.

For example, a diamond is a 10 on the Mohs hardness scale, while a CZ is 9.5.

Diamonds can still be scratched, but by another diamond. CZ's are almost as hard, and would be difficult to scratch, if these screens were indeed CZ. However I thought I read they were high quality optical glass, which would shatter if dropped?

If it's cz (reports point to yes) then no. It will not scratch thus not needing a screen protector.

That actually chimes with the story I heard from a mysterious Apple employee at the 21st amendment bar in San Fran after the Keynote.

do we know for sure that the screen will be made out of CZ or if its made out of a glass

I could not imagine ordering and buying an accessory or add-on from a company that has not yet even touched the product.

I think it would be wise to wait until a while after launch before looking for such items.
