Apple component cables.

Are the Apple component cables really worth the cash for my iphone 3G or would regular ebay component cables work just as fine? Has anyone actually compared these? Any feedback would be appreciated.

bestbuy has then for 47 i think, and it is the bestbuy brand

I bought the Apple ones only to find out that my TV has no component ports

I brought them over to my parents house once though and they did work pretty nicely. They also come with the charger so you don't have to waste your battery watching movies. Do the generic ones have a charger?

Some do some don't. I had already noticed the best buy brand cables but wasn't sure if I I wanted to invest. I found the apple component cable for $42 shipped so I guess I'll go with that. Unless anybody else has options?

I was about to post a thread about this... I tried finding it on Amazon ... Used... But i had no luck with that either... If anyone can find better it would be awesome... I heard that in order for A/V tv out for the 3G have to have some sort of chip inside it in order to work... So best buy is cheapest so far.. Still 40~something for a cabble? What a rip
