we were told to stay away from the tour companies but also heard a lot of good things about one called the Grand Canyon Tour Company. I'll just say they were awesome!!! It wasn't all that expensive either... $300 per person but that included a personal tour guide, hotel pick up/drop off, flight on a 18 seat turbo prop that flew over Hoover Dam and all the way up to the east rim then back down to the south rim, ground tour at the south rim with wine and lunch at one of the lodges, 2 free professional photos, and a helicopter ride to the river level (or mule ride as an alternative). About 9 hours total including the 1 hour flight to and from. We were even told NOT to tip anyone! LOL
I did have to purchase a jacket though because I left mine at the Excalibur and it was about 30 degrees that morning at the canyon. hahaha

I forgot how cold it can get there.
