Default Syncing between two itunes

Hello Friends,
I purchased a song on my work computer which is one of my authorized computers. I however, sync my music with my home computer which is my main library. I want to transfer just this one song on my work computer to my iphone. However, whenever I try to sync I get the message "All existing songs and playlists on the iPhone will be replaced by the one on this library". I just want to sync one song and I am logged into both accounts with the same username. However, my home computer doesn't see this song and it is only present on my work computer. Why is such a simple thing made so complicated and maybe impossible by Apple?

To prevent willy-nilly sharing of files.

Easiest thing to do would be to either burn the so g to a disc or save
it to a flash drive, and import it to your library at home.

This is a recent thread about the same subject.
The situation sucks for honest people.

I know, not much help for the current situation but it appears if you had purchased the song on your home computer that you sync with you could have easily moved it to your work computer. As you've seen the inverse is not so easy.

Use your iPod and iTunes 8

With iTunes 8 you can transfer iTunes Store purchases that are synced with your iPod to any authorized computer. Let's say from your home to your work computer. Here are the steps to transfer purchases from your iPod.
  1. Make sure that you are using the latest version of iTunes 8 and iPod software.
  2. Authorize your computer by choosing Authorize Computer from the Store menu in iTunes.
  3. Attach your iPod to the computer that contains purchases.
  4. From the File menu, choose Transfer Purchases from iPod.
