I currently have my 3GS in an otterbox defender which of course doesn't allow it to work in a loading dock or any other accessory without taking it off because the otterbox sticks out about 1/8th of an inch past the bottom of the iPhone. Is there anything that extends the plug input on the bottom so I can still use the otterbox and plug it into a loading dock, like a clock radio that my wife wants to get me?
Unfortunately there isn't, at least not that I know of. I have been using my Otterbox Defender for the past year and haven't been able to find any type of extension.
Maybe someone else has had better luck![]()
Even if there was, it still would likely be an improper physical fit that would leave the iPhone prone to falling over in the majority of the dock radios I have seen.
When you use the Defender, you pretty much decide that the protection is more important to you than the accessories.
Thats one reason I like the incase type cases. You can just slip the bottom part off and put the phone in a dock.
there has to be a cord that plugs into the thing sticking out of the radio and then you plug that into your phone. kind of like the usb computer cable we get with iphone. but just different.
Case is sometimes important and sometimes not. Depends up to users. Some people are crazy about changing case. I feel more interest about other accessories like headphone and others.
