thanks for your replies and help.

Im glad to say after a trip to carfone warehouse, They found out one of my settings was wrong, and now have internet but wow is it so so so slow, my n96 on o2 bets it hands down, this is a big worry.

Also found out that the pay as you go sim they gave me with the phone was not working at all, so I am being sent another by post ten days lol.

So now its just learning about my first iphone and also my first ever mac, all good fun lol

Dont wait....call them and they can do while you are on the phone.

My brother also faced this problem. May be because of network problem. I dont know what he did to his phone but it is now working well. May be you can contact with apple.

I think i may go into apple and have them look at phone see if they can say why it is running so slow.
In the shop today i played with the same phone full of apps of all kind and it was so fast, but mine well I just gave up waiting.

Oh well so new to this phone, I did get a update from o2 today to setup MMS so may be in a few days things will work better? I hope.

I dont know where abouts in the UK you are but here im getting decent upload and download speeds when connected to 3G, Edge is also quite fast
