I wouldnt mind though but its a file ive had before and a file a lot of people use. Im so annoyed. I just hope a genius can restore it so it boots or replace it. If they find out it was JB I would be majorly pissed!

how was the battery when you started this whole process? lol another option is to let the phone die and then plug it in and try to restore. least it will stop the process of restarting over and over.

then hold down shift and click restore and possibly restore from a backup you have of before the jailbreak if thats even possible...i may be crazy and not know what im saying but its all i can come up with at this point!

Can you get the phone into Recovery/DFU mode?

Yup, the iPhone looks like its going to restore, its just when it gets to the progress bar screen that it just freezes.

Here's a couple things to try.

Unplug the USB cable when it hangs/freezes and quickly plug it back in. Reboot the computer with the iPhone connected. Try a new USB cable. Also, try a different computer.

If you do take it to the Apple Store bring your computer, even if it is a desktop, to do the restore. They will not restore your phone on their computers.

The most they do in the store is to hold the home and power button.

Thats not true, I have been to the apple store and they restored my phone there and then. As for the ninja, he actually lives within 30mins or so from me, so I know he can go to one of two Apple Stores we have in Manchester.

Depending on the problem, apple will do there upmost to help. They would rather fix something than give a replacement.

Maybe there are different rules and regulations from country to country. They told me the only form of reset they can perform in the store the home and power button, not a full restore. Who knows...

Well, it has been replaced. The genius wasn't much of a genius, aparently error 9 is when the iPhone processor doesn't communicate with iTunes.

Now, Friday night out. Woop woop
