If you do not have it, try firmware Version 5A347

which is the version currently being offered in the itunes store if you choose to perform a "Restore" to factory default settings. You can then do a restore from your backup and bring back your personal settings.

This is usually fine, but in the special case of folks who downloaded and installed the early firmware on 7/10(?), I think restoring as a new device is in order (i.e. do not restore the backup). Because many have already restored from a backup and report continued bugs. It's data in the backup that may be causing problems.

Sync your data to external programs/web services and restore as a new device. That's my advice.

Ok, I gotta ask.... did you restore as a new device or from a backup?
