Well for for me, just because you don't know what's wrong, that doesn't equal restore. And 20 minutes? I don't know what super computer you're using, but it takes a WHILE to resync 8GB of media (32 for me). Not worth my time for a "solution" that may or may not work.

I think I agree with Hawk. It seems to be a 3.1 thing. Her phone has never had any problems until this. I'll just continue to monitor it. Like i said, she hasn't had any problems since before the weekend. It probably is just a memory thing. Too bad Apple pulled all the memory apps or asked the devs to remove the free memory part of the apps (like istat).

Ramesh, still get and install one of those apps even if it cannot free up memory. At least you can take screen shots of what is being used, and present them as evidence if you need to go to Apple with the problem.

True. I have iStat (and Free Memory), but quit using it once I couldn't free memory. Thanks for the reminder.

Is it happening after she sends a text? That is when it happens to me and the only thing to get it back on is a hard reset.

Nope. The phone is sleeping, and she's trying to wake it.

I understand that but when it happens to me I send a text and then put it to sleep. Then when I try to wake it it's just a black screen and I have to so a hard reset.
