what is your real reason for upgrading from v1 to the new 3g iphone?

Yes 3g is nice but that wasn't the major selling point for me besides the price, I just needed more space because 8gb wasn't doing it for me. I almost bought the 16gb v1 iphone, but caught wind that there might be a new iphone coming out, so i decided to wait....THANK GOD!

my real reason is the gps feature, i pretty much already had the app store cuz my iphone was jailbroken and as far as Internet i always used wifi. i just felt that the maps feature is the most helpful thing to me and gps now makes it the perfect ap on any phone. cuz lets face it no other navigation application on any other phone is as good as google maps on the iphone

If I get one it would be the 3G. I am rarely lost, so I have no need for GPS. I'm not sure what other features the 3G is going to have over the v1. Now just to determine if 2x web surfing speed is worth 15$ more a month.

Besides having the latest version of the greatest innovation this decade, time is money and if I can download something even slightly faster than I can now then I'll make up any extra cash outlay in no time.

I need at least 16GB and making the switch the the 3G data plan is actually going to SAVE us $5 (somewhat complicated but it will) so it really is a no-brainer.
