Wal Mart and the Iphone 3G

It looks like Wal Mart is going to start selling the iPhone 3g December 28th. Theres been rumors that the 3G is supposed to come down in price, beings Wal Mart is "the low price leader" is it possible that they'll sell it for less than Apple or Best Buy?

I would think that if they were going to lower the price, they would lower them everywhere, not just at Wal-Mart. Unless Wal-Mart was willing to pay the difference, of course. Even then, I'm not sure Apple/AT&T would have it.

I am pretty sure the price will only go down as soon as a V3 comes out. Walmart or whatever store can not just make it cheaper than buying it from AT&T and BestBuy, that would just ruin their rivals' business, wouldn't it?

Yeah, I remember reading that somewhere. Not a bad deal, for someone who doesn't carry around a ton of music/videos/movies/etc.

I heard that apple won't let them sell it for a lower price but include a 100 gift card of some sort.

With a 3G, I would not be unhappy with a 4 gigger at all. Orblive has really changed my perspective of what I need to have actually loaded on my phone. With a good connection, you can access your entire library anywhere. No video conversion needed, either!

My next phone I will probably go up to 16g (from my current 8g), but I don't really see the need for 32g or more. That's just me though.
