Videos from iphone onto computer?

Is there a way to upload your videos from your iphone onto your computer? I wasnt sure, but i tried to connect my usb to the iphone and then go from my computer and drag the video, but i dont see it as connected. reason y i wanna do this is cuz i deleted the video from my computer where i originally uploaded from the beginning.
