Default Unknown file that wont delete from my backup

Unknown file 12/31/2000.
This file is in the backup, under syncing in itunes.

I have tried to delete this, but it keeps coming back.

My backup time is roughly an hour. Which sucks.

I have done all the suggested protocols to remedy this, with no luck.

it was working great prior to having to do a full hard reset, and my backups only took 5 min or so.

I have reset the warnings, stopped it from sending data to apple, did a soft reset of my phone, rebooted my computer, deleted all the files in my backup folder. The only thing i have not done is delete itunes and reload it fresh.

Any other ideas out there?

Default

Some members will advise you to uninstall iTunes, Quick Time and Bonjour service and reinstall. I've not had to go that route yet as deletion of the old backup file and stopping the diagnostics from being sent to Apple completely fixed my backup issue.

I would google removing iTunes if I were you because apparently it can be a daunting task. I've even heard some recommend using a 3rd party uninstaller to get the job done properly.

Best of luck to you.

Default re sync

Thank for the info milehigh.

After uninstalling and reinstalling, i found a program that would nuke any apple data on my computer. RevoUninstaller.

I have re-installed itunes for the umteenth time.

Finally that unknown backup is gone.

Now whenever i try to sync my phone, it starts right up and seconds later it quits.

I have been serching the apple forums for a fix but cant find one yet.

please drop me a suggestion. Im running out.
