Text Auto Complete - iPhone 3G

Hello, I usually type in shortcuts, so auto complete on txt msgs is annoying to me, is there a way to disable this?

im on jailbroken 2.0.2

Never used it, but there is an app on Cydia called cToggle which supposedly turns off the auto correction.

I have tired to use the auto text but it never works when i press it. It is turned on. does anyone know why mine doesn't work, it will bring up the correct in blue but when i press it it just goes away

Don't press it, just type on as you would have. It will automatically drop the correction in place.

Eric just hit the spacebar to accept the correction. If you want to bypass the suggested word hit the small x next to the corrected word it offers you.
