I wouldn't say completely problem free, but it certainly has way less problems than all my windows mobile phones. So far I'm really happy that I made the switch.

If you (people in general) want a phone that never has any problems, well, smartphones probably aren't for you, they all have problems and "bugs". The sooner people realize (and accept) that, the less complaining there will be. It's a give/take, love/hate relationship.

I would be very surprised if there is anyone that has never had an app crash or Safari crash.

For those that may not know what an iPhone "crash" is, it's when an app or Safari (which is also an app) simply goes away and the home screen appears. It's very subtle and it's not like you get a cryptic error message or anything. You get nothing. An app may crash while you were not looking and you may not realize it.

A "crash" could also mean that an application simply froze and became unresponsive.

i've had an app crash every so often, nothing terrible. I can't really say any electronic device is fault free, but this phone is great for what it is. My reception is great and i don't have problems with lag while typing. I am quite happy with my choice to upgrade from the V1.

I'm on 2.0 V1 and experience no lag and minimal crashes. It's certainly better than all the WinMo phones I owned over the years.

I haven't had too many problems with mine. Doesn't suffer from heating up, I have great reception, and my battery seems to last for quite some time. I will say, I'm very pleased.

I'm very pleased as well. I just can't believe I finally have a phone like this after waiting (what seems like forever) for the technology to improve. Over the last two months, I've had a few apps crash here and there, but for the most part its been very stable. Like a previous poster said, I expect things like this until they get it sorted out. I've never had dropped call or one that wouldn't go through. Maybe that is attributed to my area (Baltimore).

All in all, there is soo much more to love than to hate and it will only get better I'm sure.

I haven't had any major problems with my phone. The text message sound will randomly stop but other than that its been smooth sailing since day 1.

The only issue I have had is laggy keyboard and slow to load contacts. Both have improved since the updates, but contacts still takes 3-4 seconds before I can start to scroll. Other than that, I have had a great experience with my iPhone 3G. I get WAY better signal than I did with my 1st Gen iPhone. I can actually us the phone in my house, where before I couldnt.
