Market price for 3g?

Now that there is talk of the new iPhone, I'm starting to wonder what the going rate for the 3g will be once the new one is released. Does anyone have any predictions? If the new phone is $300, can you sell a 3g for that?

The reason the 3G can sell for so much in the open market (ie, eBay) is that they are sold unlocked and do not come with a contract. The $299 was for a contract price and without the phone is going to be quite a bit more expensive.

I would gamble to say that you could easily sell a 16GB iPhone 3G for $300 when the new phone is released.

My unlocked v1 sold for $530 on eBay just before the 3G came out.
