itunes store problem

Hello guys...

I have an iphone 3G and i want to ask what is the procedure to be able to donwload apps directly from the application store from my iphone...

The problem is that i live in Cyprus, and when i enter itunes store it says that there isnt an itunes store for my country... I want to create an itunes account, but what i can do now? Can i create an account through another country? Thanks!

I think the only way you'd be able to do it is creating a US account with a US iTunes gift card or credit card. The contract of purchases doesn't extend to your territory.

i believe you have to have a us mailing address as well

I think the other posters are correct if you want to purchase paid apps, but I have read that some people outside the US are successful in creating an account for the purposes of downloading free apps from iTunes by selecting "none" for payment method and entering in their alternate US address.
