Default Itunes Devices ?

In Itunes under devices, my iphone used to be listed as James's iPhone, now it just says iPhone. Also, the device summary just shows iphone. Seems like this happened after the 3.0 upgrade. The phone seems to back-up and sync fine, however, when I look at preferences, devices, I never see more than the most recent back-up.

you can rename it. click on the name "iphone", pause a few seconds, then click it again. you can type in whatever you want.

Ahha. Thanks for the tip. Any idea why Itunes is only saving the most recent backup. I may be mistaken, but I think that I used to see multiple back-ups.

That changed between itunes 7 and 8. Easy way to keep track of your backups is to move them to another folder after you sync. Move it back when you want to use it.

Where is the backup folder actually located? And do you have to use iTunes to install it?
