I have the cable to charge it through my computer...which sucks if I'm out and my battery dies, so I have to make sure my battery is fully charged before I leave the house.

Interesting. Although I would not have expected this, most products have some form of recall at some point, whether it be a small cord or a larger issue.

While this isn't a huge problem success-wise, it's always good to know that a safety issue has been resolved.

For what it's worth, Ravman, I agree with the others. I've never heard of anyone having problems with their iPhones charging off USB once the phone is locked. I agree that USB is low power unless you're using a powered hub, so it is slow to charge. But my phone charges fine hub or not with when it's locked.

Maybe there's something wrong with your system?

3G iphone has the USB power adapter which can be used in USB of PC but if it's get broken then it will be of no use and at that time one should go for replacement.
