Default If I get new iPhone 3G can I still use my old one as a "spare" if battery dies etc.?

I can't see why not since it's probably just a SIM card swap but I'd appreciate answers from those with more knowledge than me.

You should still be able to use it without a problem.

You'd need to unlock your V1 or it won't accept the SIM. Just plug 'er in to your computer and run ZiPhone on it, takes 1 minute.

I read something today that you'll be able to unbrick the old iPhone and essentially use it as an iPod, but that may not be what you're looking for.

you know ive wondered this too.. I think they should let you be able to use the old one without having to unlock it seeing as many people already have the v1.

Yeah, that's what they're giving us instead of the dock.
