No, how about 5 bars, 3G and the messsage, "Cannot connect to Internet to find current location". Maybe this is ATT but it is FRUSTRATING when you are use to other cell phone GPS devices that work ALL the time. "Apple NEVER promised turn-by-turn..." That comment is irrelevant since Apple didn't promise ANYTHING before the announcement of the 3G. When rumors fly and you hear that the new phone will have GPS you expect it to be the BEST GPS EVER. Instead you get a watered-down imitation of GPS. What I EXPECTED was cutting edge from Apple. This GPS is something you would have been AMAZED by 5 years ago when GPS was FIRST introduced. Apple users, and I am Mac all the way, come to expect a certain level of excellence and innovation. Apple dropped the ball on GPS. To defend an obviously inferior feature is to accept less than excellence and allow Apple to give their loyal customers lip service. When Apple doesn't deliver they need to be told. That is the only way Apple can remain the great company it is today. Blaming the messenger will not correct the problem.
