Im 20 now btw. And becuase i dont splurge and pay off the credit card ontime i got an offer from American express Platinum...i should take it lol.
Building your credit - $1500 (limit lol)
Only buying gas and not splurging $60 a month.
Walking into an Apple store and hearing the words "Approved, what size and colour of iphone 3g would you like today" - Priceless.
To the OP, just build your credit from now. By the time the next iphone comes out you will qualify for it without any deposit whatsoever. Also building ur credit will help you get a better student loan, finance a car, get lower payments and sometime down the road...buy a house for a good price.
Good advice. I got my first car loan at 18 without a co-signer, had no credit and now I'm almost 20 have a credit card and I just checked my credit score and its 710-715 and I think thats decent for just under 2 years..
No way around the deposit bud, just pay it and build your credit.
