3.0 issues

my jailbroken iphone 3g on 3.0 software has bad service...i called att and they couldn't do anything...should i take it back to apple ? also how do i bring it back to a virgin

Make an appointment with a genius at Apple. Restore the phone in iTunes before you go. Restore is an option on the Summary screen in iTunes.

Yes click restore on summary screen, then when prompted, set up as new device. SYNC phone first before restore. Make sure you have unhidden or uncategorized any icons or apps if you did this while jailbroken. BE SURE your contacts are synced with another program such as Outlook, Windows Address Book, Yahoo, Gmail....etc before restore.
