    Metallic painting

You know.. if you cover a case which has an antenna in it (BTW the iPhone has separate antennae (around 10 I believe)for the receive, transmit for 2G and 3g , bluetooth, wifi ,gps ) with metal powder paint, you have to be blocking some of the RF transmissions to a degree ! . Don't think so ?.. some new car windshields have a very very thin metallic coating in them to help block heat and sunlight and because of this, a dash mounted GPS can thus suffer from poorer signal strength. True , the windshield coating as well as metallic paint on the iPhone won't completely block signals but with ,it seems everybody complaining of wide spread poor cell signal strengths, why would you want to take the chance and make it even a little bit poorer ??!!

Looks great. Chrome molding on the front side of my iphone has many scratches thanks to Agent18 case, and I love to have it painted. Wish the price is a bit cheaper, but I might do it anyway.

Being a Lexus (a Toyoto) you probably felt every bump even before 19" wheels. lol

The paint doesn't affect my signal at all (my V1).

The V1 's antenna is only in the bottom black plastic piece. The rest of the back is metal and has no antenna behind it . Also the V1 does not have a GPS antenna nor a 3G receive and transmit antenna all of which are very much higher frequency antennae. If you painted the V1 lower black plastic piece with metallic paint , you will block some rf signal , if you did and don't notice a drop in signal strength then you probably have a very good signal to begin with, but... you may see the signal degradation when in fringe areas where a little loss of signal may matter a whole lot when it counts .
