Default My opinion of the Invisible Shield on my 3G

Im a newbie iPhone owner, so I had lots of questions about the Invisible Shield. I ended up buying one the other day at a local Zagg dealer who also installed the product for me. I love it! My thoughts:

- The front doesnt cover the whole screen. Im ok with this, it covers enough of it to keep me from worrying.
- There were be bubbles right away. All of the bubbles that were there immediately afterward have since disappeared.
- The touch screen is way more responsive IMHO than with the screen protector included with the rubber case AT&T had on launch day. It's a little tacky at times, but not nearly as bad as I was expecting.
- I found the Griffin Elan Case at Best Buy yesterday, and while the Phone will technically fit in the clip with the Invisible Shield on, it's way too tight. The phone does not slide in/out with ease. If you were patient and wanted to stretch out the case a bit Im sure you could make it work eventually, but I'll be returning this bad larry and sticking the phone directly into my pocket.
- If you put the phone in your pocket, you're going to get pocket lint where the edges of the shield are. Im not sure whether this will resolve itself, or if it will carry on indefinitely. Either way, its not a big enough deal to stop using Invisible Shield.
- Hardly any fingerprints! Yay!

I just got mine yesterday and I was a little disappointed how the back dosen't fully cover the chrome bezel like it does on the iPhone 2G. I had to cut some small strips from the excess material to cover the exposed bezel. Also I really wish there was someone who installs in my area because it always is a real pain to get it perfect on the iPhone(and other phones) and I usualy mess up like half the time. This install seems to be one of the mess-ups because today some of the edges have already started to bubble/peel.

I agree!!! Im thinking about taking the back off and re-appying it and stretch it out further.

I just put the BSE on my phone last night. I ordered it shortly after I got word of shipment delays for my invisible shield. They ended up actually being delivered the same evening(Go figure). The invisi shield had some problems so I took it off and put on the BSE. It covers the chrome bezel fully so it seems a better choice than the invisible shield this time. The bad part is the back comes in two pieces so there is a seem in the center of the iphone's backing I don't really like. But for now the bse is a better fit. Though invisi shield is known to revise there products and ship improved versions very quickly. I didn't put the screen protector on because I already have one on I got from the apple store but I did have a BSE on my iPhone 2G for a while and it greatly reduces fingerprints.

I ordrered my BSE last night...the price was better than the invisible shield so i was able to get 2 sets, I got the 1 piece back....I know I'm gonna screw up the first one..I'm a perfectionist so the smallest bubble or piece of lint will drive me completly nuts and it will be all I can see when I'm using the phone..I always had a case on my v1 iphone but I thought I'd try this with the new apple logo on the back and all..ill tell u how it goes...

I also didn't like the two piece design on the BSE but I prefer it because the IS doesn't cover the chrome bezel on the 3G model.

I just finish install BSE. I don't like 2 pieces back either but it make my life more simple when install the shield. I found even thou BSE cover some chrome but not all the way to the front. So far I like what I see so I'll go naked for now.
