Default Incase Protective Cover

Anyone use this case? Any comments? Like it? Hate it? I just bought one today and it's pretty nice.

Hey Rob from what kind of material is that case made? I think I've seen it in the stores. What are the major differences between the protective cover and the slider?

If it's this case (http://store.apple.com/us/product/TS...A&s=topSellers, my brother has one and it really is nice. I love its simplicity -- it really follows the shape of the iPhone 3G. It also doesn't make the iPhone feel much bigger than it already is and has a nice rubbery grip to it. I currently have the new Switcheasy Rebel and don't care for it, so I plan to get the Incase protective case very soon.

I believe this is made of a rubber or silicone. Very grippy, but not overly. I really like it, now that I've given it a shot.

Napoleon,

Yes this is the case you've mentioned. I also like the simplicity and I think this is what drew me to the case. Just something simple and elegant and this case fits the bill. I love the slider case, but due to the fact that I am having trouble getting the slider to go on without peeling up the screen protector, I decided to try this case out. For me, having the screen protector is more important than having a case. I am very anal about having the screen protector installed without lint, etc. under it and also I am very picky about the case bubbling it up which will destroy the seamlessness about it and allow dirt, dust, etc. to get under it and possibly scratch the screen. I called Incase and they said they do not support using a screen film on the screen with the slider case. Since this was of the utmost importance, I decided to look at other options. I am glad I got this case and tomorrow will be my first foray into the world with this case. I hope it holds up to what I think is its promise of the 'perfect' case (for me).

Sorry for the long post.

Rob

I agree, this case doesn't add very much bulk to the phone at all. Actually, in my opinion, this case is less bulky than the slider case.

Yes.

Both cases are probably very similar in thickness, but since the slider is a hard case and the protective cover a silicone case, the effect of it seems less bulky. Either way, if the slider worked better with a screen protector on, then I would be using the slider. So far, I am happy with this alternative.

My wife had that case for her iPhone and it was nice, but it did not hold up well to repeated on and off to clean the screen. The wrap around part to the face of the phone started to rip and tear all over.
