Touche, however, I think the Slider I had sped up the process...

Yes, the replacement phone is naked. The investment comes in the form of not having to dish out additional cash for a case which ultimately will end up scratching the bezel anyway.

Yes, I do know the risk involved in not using a case, trust me. The real purpose of the case is to protect the delicate phone from drops. However, when the case ends up scratching the phone anyway, I'd simply prefer to take my chance of suffering a drop so I can enjoy look and feel of the beautiful naked iPhone. I know those exact words may possibly come back to haunt me one day but it's a risk I'm willing to take.

BTW, I was a huge supporter of the Incase Slider. You can search old threads to find proof of my statement here at EIC.

I love my black Incase, but I can't stand the bubbles that I get from time to time. And, I have a Zagg invisible shield on it...

Exact same one as mine and indeed it does.

I too, digg the rubber rails. They keep the phone firm inside the case. The dust issue around the camera is fixable- It's a little fiddly, but you can get a small rubber washer (usually something used in plumbing), you can fit it to the incase and gently push your iphone into the case and it stops dust/snot and bits of skin getting in there.
Sorry, wanted to reply to everybody :-P Hmm, I've been having dust issues, I might try that if I get time.

You mean the bottom piece of the slider is very tight? That's the issue I have, the top is very easy to take off.

Yes the bottom is very tight and stays on while the top is the part that slides off - basically the OPPOSITE of what it is supposed to be.

I believe they have fixed this with the new generation that is out. my top is as tight as the bottom - of my slider case.

I've tried several sliders in a couple apple stores. There is no consistency. They all fit different. Some are tight, some are loose, some leave a crack where the bezel is visible where the two pieces of the case meet.

I want to send it in and get a new one - but then I would be without a case for a few days. Not sure what to do. Suggestions?

Just noticed your dock, looks pretty awesome. Mind telling us the details?

Good idea! I could start a small business "Scratch removal for iPhones"

Same but I have spare case (Griffin Elan Form) which I can use. Although it might be a bit tight due to the 3GS being 1mm thicker.
