Default Case Mate products are JUNK.....Be careful

Case Mate products are JUNK.....Be careful.
They constantly fall off your belt and are by no means secure. They also break very easily and the company does not stand behind them.
Find a case that will not fall off your belt and is NOT made out of plastic. http://www.case-mate.com/phones/appl...FRdinAodkCP7Pw

I think aliceking responded like this because you posted this thread in the first-generation iPhone cases section - I've now moved it to the 3G iPhone cases thread. I'm also going to change your title to make it reflective of the thread's subject - a link like that as a title doesn't take people anywhere except to the thread itself. Feel free to change it to anything you'd like, though...

So, your clip broke?

And you mentioned not to buy a case that's made out of plastic. But your case is leather. Did your holster break as well?

Well, case mates' "Signature" line seems to be made out of plastic covered in leather. I don't know how they do it, but it's pure awesome.
They had the 1st gen iPhone covers on sale, so I gambled and bought one and it fits like a glove on my 3G. I love the case that is around the phone itself, but the holster is a bit of a joke. It's nice and all, covered in leather with a rotating belt clip, but I never use it because it pokes me in the waist above my belt. It's nearly impossible to get in the car without it jamming on your side, and as was mentioned, the clip isn't the strongest.
I've heard of them breaking before because of the plastic and small mounting surface of the clip to the holster. Just don't get rough with it, that's all.
And I love my Case Mate Signature Perforated leather iPhone Case. (Although it does make the phone significantly wider...)
